Dr. Clarke is a native of B.C. and first moved to the Saanich Peninsula from Salt Spring Island to attend high school at Claremont. Undergraduate training at the University of Victoria was followed by four years at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. After graduating in 1985 she was accepted into a one year internship program at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph. Three years of practice in Ontario were followed by ten in Powell River before returning to the peninsula in 1999. Dr. Clarke’s areas of particular interest include anaesthesia and pain control, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Her home life is kept busy with a husband, young daughter, two cats (Jilly and Spot), Licorice, and two horses (Denalie and Shaye).
